Here in Mississippi we describe a rain storm as - raining cats and dogs - it's a frog choker - raining pitch forks - a boat floater - and it sure is coming all of these right now. We have gotten 3.35 inches in the last couple of hours and it is still just coming on down. Look what floated up on our back porch step. Yep, it's a crawfish. Now that's a desperate crawfish. The ark might be just around the corner.
Not the best picture, but he was steady backing up and quickly disappeared into the mud. Camera shy. He is really kind of cute, I think.
Splish, splash.
Can't wait to go to bed and listen to the sound of the rain on the roof as I go to sleep. Sweet dreams, y'all.
